Welp, it's been awhile since I've finished something nice enough to bother uploading it. I know I should be working on my Hetalia thing, but obviously I'm lazy weeabo trash. Besides, Avatar is just one of those things that I consistently draw fanart for. It's probably because I like to draw martial arts though, so I went a different route. This time around I drew Yue as the moon spirit. I was partially inspired by some of the art depicting Chang'e, though no drawing in particular.
I'll admit I mostly cared about the pencilwork, so I kinda half-assed some of the later stuff.

Either way, at least when I flip through my sketchbook and see the uncoloured lineart it's one of my favorites to look at. I think it has nice movement and I really just needed to draw fabric like this, y'know? I was going to add some stylized clouds too, but just never got around to it because I'm awful like that. But elements of her clothes and hair did sort of gain that wispy, cloud-like feel.

I've got the finished thing with linework on tumblr as well.

Also, I would have totally used the Chinese character for moon (月) in the title instead, but deviantArt doesn't support it...
